There’s not doubt this will occur over here and there’ll be a totally different response and resolution. All of us need to join this fight by words, actions and fight. I don’t care if it’s not considered to be politically correct not to be willing to accept some of these Islamic beliefs. Sharia Law is totally absurd and unacceptable, but we are told to accept it . Go figure ! Your not being ugly ! Thank God you’ll trying to motivate and get people to act .
AND: So what is an appropriate response to the Paris actions? You suggest reading their playbook and learning their motive–in other words, educating ourselves on the enemy. Let’s say we do that, then what. Let’s say the vast majority of the world’s nations do that, then what.
Do these terrorist events continue to happen because we don’t know the playbook and/or the motive? Or do these events continue to happen because of our reaction and response? I don’t believe its an either or, I believe education and response go hand in hand. IMO, our (the world’s) response is woefully inadequate. Similar to Germany in the mid 1930’s we turn a blind eye and under our breath thank God it wasn’t on our soil, in our town, against our immediate loved ones. And so we continue to walk under our PC umbrella and think we are protected from terrorist rain.
This is an ugly conversation; but a necessary conversation. Unfortunately, until events begin to touch our soil, Americans will continue to ignore these and similar events that have been on-going for two decades.
AND: AND Yes shortly after returning from Vietnam. Salisbury VA Hospital in denial on medical needs with conversation being controlled via phone from main VA office in Winston Salem. One hour later standing in the Director’s office in Winston and walked out with a small settlement to seek outside medical help.

AND: Our president says what happened in Paris can’t happen here. There is no credible evidence of any eminent threat to our homeland. Yet nobody knew it was coming in Paris……. We have no knowledge that we have no knowledge. Isis has a strategy they call us, who they think we are, they have a caliphate to eliminate the world of infidels are are willing to die for this strategy. This administration and the rest of the world has no strategy to combat this mentality only band aids and reactions to events.

I am getting depressed over here. All TV channels are full off commentators everywhere saying “Now we need leadership!” but I see no leadership!
I see a European Union breaking apart. We have barely managed to save Greece and the € (that currency was a horrible idea, but that is a chapter by itself) and now we are flooded with refugees. Sweden has taken more refugees per capita than any other country. The biggest group is NOT Syrians fleeing war, it is young Afghans men. They are sent here by their families, and they all say they are 16 . That means they are technically children and are given permanent visa right away. School, health care and assisted living for them is free and is very expensive. About $150′ p kid p year. It is hard for Swedes to get easy access to dental service now, immigrants take a lot of time with their bad teeth. And checking their age through teeth, bone measurement etc is “discriminating”, say the leftwing immigration supporters. Norway and Denmark check that and almost half of those are found to be older than they say. So guess why almost all of them come here now..?
Now the cost is so staggering so Sweden is taking $ from the third world aid programmes and spend here instead. So $ for vaccine or food relief for a poor kid in Africa is pulled back and is spent on someone who paid $10.000 to smugglers to get out of Turkey or Iran, where they have lived for years.
I see them coming in large groups to Malmö central station with their IPhones, new sturdy backpacks and Nike shoes and walk up to the special reception area they built there. This will backfire. It can’t go on.

This one is right on the money.
The last position I held on active duty was ‘Advisor to the Commander, USSTRATCOM’. My primary focus was to ensure our geographically seperated units had the manning to accomplish the Commander’s mission. Because COCOM’s do not have bodies assigned to them, they rely on the services, through the Joint Staff, to provide the personnel necessary to meet their day to day requirements. When there is a shortfall, which there always was, they send out guys like me.
I was given a 15+ million dollar budget, we know it as mandays. I went out and recruited Guardsmen and Reservists to take 3 – 6 month active duty tours in support of the many GSUs STRATCOM owned. Traveling to the units and sitting in a briefing room with the target individuals (mostly Cyber, but also Nuc plans and rated guys), I was mostly successful in filling the billets. E-mails and phone calls never cut it in my business, and I still believe we use ‘efficient’ in the above context as a buzz word for lazy.

AND: It is ironic that this was in my inbox the day after I was technically given electronic notice of the loss of my position or the loss of my pay grade. By COB Sunday, my supervisor and I were tentatively planning to meet face to face this Friday to discuss the terms of my current contract. I was surprised to receive a chat notification from him by about 0930 on Monday, the next day. He basically asked me what my intentions were regarding my contract. I believe I had physically signed that contract and didn’t receive the signed copy back nearly 2 years ago since it was not in my personal electronic files. I reminded him that I did not have a copy of it but I preferred to stay in the position at my current rank. I also relayed that it was impossible to do so because the powers that be had already double-slotted a different new person with my existing rank to the position that held my rank while I remained in the overgrade position. I informed him I was screwed. Please bare in mind this is over instant messenger in the work place. I truly didn’t believe he was realistically going to attempt to converse about my job over such a medium when we had already agreed to discuss the subject the following Friday face to face.
AND: Amen brother. You are right on with this email and your text. I heard one of our officers the other day say that she liked Bernie Sanders. What a shame that we have leaders who do not even understand the dangers of Socialism. Can we stop the insanity or have we gone too far? Are there any statesmen and military leaders anymore or are they all marching in step with the Fuhrer? Carson & Cruz? Maybe.

AND: I cannot think of a worse condition than for a nation to have an agnostic approach to governing or establishing a world perspective. The USA was not created to be atheist or agnostic in its approach. To the contrary, we were constructed with God in mind and thankful for where our Rights originate. I do not want the State in our places of worship. But we desperately need Spirituality in our governing bodies. To believe otherwise is at best naïve.

Our country is not doing enough to educate the citizens about being aware of their surroundings. How many would walk by an unattended book bag or luggage without noticing it as being out of place. Erratic behavior is not uncommon with so many strung out on pills or meth…how can one single out a suspicious character with explosives strapped to their side? Racial profiling wouldn’t work because of the recruits coming from different countries to include the U.S.
Eliminate the media, allow our troops to engage first then ask questions later without waiting to be fired upon first. When SHTF there will be mass chaos. Pity the elderly, overweight/obese, handicapped, and those on government welfare. At this point it is not if it will happen here but when? ISIS did tout that their flag will fly over the White House.
