1. Question – How has pride cheated you?
2. Thought – Beth Moore writes a poem that exposes pride for what it is:
My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
I cheat you of your God-given destiny…because
you demand your own way.
I cheat you of contentment…because you
“deserve better than this.”
 
I cheat you of knowledge…because
you already know it all.
I cheat you of healing…because you’re too full of
me to forgive.
 
I cheat you of holiness…because you refuse to
admit when you’re wrong.
I cheat you of vision…because you’d rather look
in the mirror than out a window.
 
I cheat you of genuine friendship…because
nobody’s going to know the real you.
I cheat you of love…because real romance
demands sacrifice.
 
I cheat you of greatness in heaven…because you
refuse to wash another’s feet on earth.

Good Friday Morning! One week over in 2016!
1. Question – What are the two ways of getting out of work?
2. Thought – There are two ways of getting out of that work. One way is to take but little interest in what you are doing, aiming merely to do enough with which to “get by.” Very soon you will find a way out, because the demand for your services will cease.
The other and better way is by making yourself so useful and efficient in what you are now doing that you will attract favorable attention of those who have the power to promote you into a more reasonable work that is more to your liking.

Hello Sunday 2016!
! Question – Has there been a second fall?
Z. Thought – Understanding our day demands understanding the day before. This means history. There is an old adage suggesting that the person who forgets history is condemned to repeat it. Perhaps more to the point, the person who ignores history is condemned to be swept away by its force. So what do we need to know about the past that has led to the day we live in?
There has been a second fall.
​The first fall led to God’s expulsion of humans from the garden of Eden​. The second fall occurred when we returned the favor. The leaders of science and commerce, of education and political machination have ceased operating with any reference to the transcendent truth, much less a deity. (Serious Times by James Emery White)

Happy New Year 2016!
1. Question – Will the insanity continue?
2. Definition – Insanity – extreme folly or unreasonableness. Or, “Continuing to do the same thing over again but expecting different results.”
3. Thought – How to keep from going insane:
A. Read about American history.
B. Study – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth – Bible.
C. Find a Church and go to honor and learn about God.
D. Don’t use God’s name in vain.
E. Exercise daily.
F. Save some energy for your Family.
G. Give.
H. Have a Hobby.
I. Less I and more of you!
J. Journal.
K. Do one act of random Kindness daily.
L. Listen more than you talk.
M. Enjoy making Memory time!
N. Be Nice.
O. Don’t watch slander or listen to Obscenities on TV.
P. Don’t love your Phone more than people.
Q.Have daily ‘Quiet’ time. (No noise)
R. Read. (Only 5 out of 100 people will ever read a self-help book in their lifetime. Question: Is the Bible a self-help book?)
S. Get in a Small group of 3 to 5 trusted people and study once a week. (God’s a great topic)
T. Don’t Text and drive!
U. Be more Understanding!
V. Vote with your head.
W. Who you are in the next 5 years is a direct result of the books your read and the people you associate with.
X. Don’t do eXtra – when enough will do.
Y. When you come to the hard “Y‘s” in the road – ask God and trusted friends for help.
Z. Put Zest in your life with enthusiastic people! (rem)
