Good Friday Morning!!!
1. Question – When you spend some earnest time in
thinking about jobs in today’s world are you
surprised they’re gone?
2. Thought – Our old work world started collapsing
in the late 1980s. For many of us, it seemed to happen
over-night. In truth, our culture has been running toward
it for a long time. The old world simply disappeared.
From my vantage point in the employment industry, it was
becoming clear that the old way of living, the very way of
“being” in this thing we call
“work” was fracturing and crumbling. And it
was happening in virtually every profession and industry,
from medicine to music, from banking to entrepreneurship.
(The Truth About Work by David Harder)
“By three methods we may learn wisdom:
First, by reflection, which is noblest;
Second, by imitation, which is easiest;
And third, by experience, which is bitterest.”
(Confucius, 551-479 B.C.)
Don’t text and drive. Read. Ponder. And get ready
to lose weight ~ More to come on that challenge.
