The Bible contains the instruction that those who keep the Messiah’s Word and believe on Him will attain eternal life – a gift upon the return of the Messiah for those who are called, chosen and faithful – enduring to the end! Modern churchmen almost universally claim that we can be ‘saved’ now and even be assured that the ‘once saved’ will always be ‘saved’, not returning to one’s own vomit or to again wallow in our favorite mud.
However, contrary to wishful thinking, the Bible does provide three indicators that point to having a right relationship with the Father.
These ways of knowing should not come as a surprise, but often give pause or shock. Here they are –
    1) That we are keeping His Commandments (1 John 2:3, “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.”); 2) That we are experiencing the Holy Spirit’s work in our life and suffering (Romans 8:16-17, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”) and 3) That we are loving the Brethren (1 John 3:14, “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”).
As far as I can tell – that’s it. And remember – You must be born again!
One last note: These three indicators were given to Micah, recorded near the close of the scriptures, which were known to the apostles. They thunder today, out of the archives, as if the Father put an explanation point on them. “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but (#1, above) to do justly, and (#3) to love mercy, and (#2) to walk humbly with thy God?” – Micah 6:8 (Number notations, mine.)

    Thank You Michael!
To be born again in thinking is absolutely wonder beyond wonder! Often, I am like a child and a sponge for more. I am reading a book on The Power of Humility and I am indeed humbled by the Spirit!
    Thank you!
